Wuxi, a city rich in culture and talent, inherits the fine tradition of calligraphy and painting art. It is home to many renowned figures in the field and famous for the private collections of calligraphy and painting works.Since the 1980s, A number of calligraphers, painters and collectors generously donated their works and collections to Wuxi Museum, including Qian Songyan, Huang Yanghui, Tao Shoubo, Xu Feng,Yang Weiyun family and Yang Renshan family.

To honor the noble deeds and great contributions of the calligraphers painters, collectors and their descendants in passing on the fine works,Wuxi Museum specially sets this area as the Exhibition Hall of Donated Calligraphy and Painting Works and holds exhibitions in rotation on a regular basis, so as to let more audience enjoy the artistic charm and give full play to the value of the works.
