Date : 2016-03-17 Browsing Times : 2354

Zisha ceramics is an art of turning stone into gold. If you don't see it with your own eyes, it is difficult to connect the splendid ores in Huanglong Mountain with the colorful and radiant Zisha utensils. However, the wisdom and creativity of ancient craftsmen is way beyond our imagination. Before the Qin and Han dynasties, they used clay to make pottery.

During the Jin and Tang dynasties, they used porcelain clay to make celadon. At least in the Ming Dynasty, they began to consciously use Zisha clay with higher raw strength and smaller shrinkage rate to make pottery, and creatively use the techniques of beating the clay piece into the teapot body and sticking the clay pieces together to shape the teapot body.

In the Ming Dynasty, the way of drinking tea changed from boiling tea to brewing tea. The good quality of Zisha pottery makes the natural beauty of tea come into full play. It can be said that Zisha pot is the product of the high degree of integration of pottery culture, teapot culture and tea culture. The emergence of Zisha products marks the peak of Chinese pottery industry.
