Rong Zhian Painting Exhibition

It is this willful application of color anchored by ancient Chinese calligraphic forms that gives Rong Zhian’s paintings a sincerity rarely found in other syncretism works of art. There is nothing artificial about this yoking of two traditions so remote from one another in time and place. One feels that Rong Zhian is illuminating the interior of a heart at peace in two worlds.

Given the increasing interconnectedness of previously isolated populations, one can envision only the brightest of futures for such painter.
